Avon Tyres’ ZT5 ‘could be useful for car salvage buyers’
Friday, March 5, 2010 11:54A new tyre has been launched which could be perfect for those doing up a car salvage vehicle.
Avon Tyres has launched the ZT5, which is suitable for a large number of small and medium-sized cars.
Among the models which can incorporate this car part are the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo, Vauxhall Corsa, Citroen C3 and the Peugeot 207.
It is T-speed rated and will be made available from March this year in diameters ranging from 13 to 15 inches.
"With excellent steering response and enhanced overall handling characteristics, the grooves of the tread design provide optimum aquaplaning performance," Avon revealed.
It added that the tyres use pitch technology to further reduce road noise and utilise a tread design that aims to deliver optimum road grip.
Car parts could become increasingly useful if Glass’s Guide’s prediction that the number of second hand cars on the market will fall in the next few years bears out, as more people may be choosing to repair car salvage vehicles instead of buying used vehicles from dealers.
